WEB Burrow and Chase Gearing Up for Week One Matchup Against Justin Jefferson and the Vikings

Burrow's Journey to Stardom

Joe Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals' quarterback, has had an incredible journey to the top of the NFL. After graduating from LSU in December of 2019 with a Masters degree in Liberal Arts, Burrow was selected first overall by the Bengals in the 2020 NFL draft. In his rookie season, he led the Bengals to an improbable playoff berth, throwing for over 4,600 yards and 34 touchdowns. Burrow's success is even more remarkable considering his humble beginnings. From getting ribbed daily by his teammates and Urban Meyer at Ohio State to becoming a superstar at LSU, Burrow has overcome countless obstacles to become one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the NFL.

Vikings' Justin Jefferson poses a Major Threat

The Bengals will face a tough test in their week one matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, who boast one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. Led by quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide receiver Justin Jefferson, the Vikings have the potential to put up points in bunches. Jefferson, in particular, is a major threat, having led the NFL in receiving yards in 2020. The Bengals' defense will need to be at their best to slow down the Vikings' offense and give Burrow a chance to win the game.

Burrow's Past and Present Meet Again

The game between the Bengals and Vikings will also be a special moment for Burrow, as it will mark his first time facing his former college team. Burrow spent three seasons at LSU, leading the Tigers to a National Championship in 2019. The Vikings currently have several former LSU players on their roster, including wide receiver Justin Jefferson and cornerback Patrick Peterson. It will be interesting to see how Burrow performs against his former teammates and whether he can lead the Bengals to a victory against his old school.
