1832 Asset Management LP Announces Merger Proposal

1832 Asset Management LP, the manager of Dynamic Funds, has announced a proposal to merge with WEB Scotia Global Asset Management, a registered trademark of The Bank of Nova Scotia and a subsidiary of Scotiabank. The combined entity would create one of Canada's largest asset management firms with over $475 trillion in assets under management.
The proposed merger requires the approval of unitholders of both Dynamic Funds and WEB Scotia Global Asset Management. A special meeting of unitholders is expected to be held in late summer or early fall of 2023 to vote on the proposal.
If approved, the merger is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023. The combined entity would continue to operate under the Dynamic Funds brand.
