Residents in the Bay Area have experienced several earthquakes in recent days, raising concerns about seismic activity in the region. In the past 24 hours, there have been 12 earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or greater, and 12 earthquakes in the past seven days.

One of the most significant earthquakes occurred Thursday morning in the mountains between Livermore and San Jose. The preliminary magnitude 2.9 earthquake was followed by a series of aftershocks.

Another earthquake, with a preliminary magnitude of 2.6, struck near Livermore on Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The quake was felt by residents in the area, but no damage has been reported.

On Friday morning, a 2.5-magnitude earthquake struck Del Valle Regional Park in the East Bay. The quake was also felt by residents, but no injuries or damage were reported.
