Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs pleads not guilty in court, rapper remains in custody

Combs was arrested on Monday after an alleged altercation with UCLA football coach

The rapper and entrepreneur has denied the charges and is scheduled to return to court on June 15

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault with a deadly weapon after an alleged altercation with UCLA football coach Sal Alosi on Monday.

The incident reportedly occurred at the UCLA campus, where Combs’ son Justin Combs is a football player. According to Alosi, Combs struck him with a kettlebell during an argument.

Combs, through his attorney, has denied the charges and has said that he acted in self-defense. He was released on $50,000 bail on Tuesday but is scheduled to return to court on June 15 for a preliminary hearing.

If convicted, Combs could face up to four years in prison.

Details of the alleged incident

According to Alosi, the incident occurred after he approached Combs to discuss Justin Combs’ behavior on the football team. Alosi claims that Combs became angry and struck him with a kettlebell, causing injuries to his head and back.

Combs, however, has a different version of events. He claims that Alosi was the aggressor and that he only struck Alosi in self-defense after Alosi pushed him.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident and has not yet released any further details.

Combs’ legal history

This is not the first time that Combs has been involved in a legal dispute. In 1999, he was charged with bribery after he allegedly offered a bribe to a police officer in order to avoid arrest for possession of marijuana.

In 2001, Combs was charged with weapons possession after a gun was found in his car. He was acquitted of the charges in 2003.

Combs has also starred in several films and television shows, including ‘Making the Band’ and ‘CSI: Miami’. He is a successful businessman with interests in fashion, spirits, and television production.
