Chelsea started the match brightly and took the lead in the 12th minute when Palmer latched onto a loose ball in the Everton penalty area and fired home. The Blues doubled their advantage in the 25th minute when Sterling converted a cross from Chilwell.

Havertz made it 3-0 in the 38th minute with a well-taken header from a corner, and Mount added a fourth before half-time with a powerful shot from outside the box.

Chilwell added a fifth for Chelsea shortly after the hour mark with a low drive into the bottom corner, and Palmer completed the scoring in the 82nd minute with a clinical finish.

The result leaves Chelsea in fourth place in the Premier League, while Everton remain in the relegation zone.

Chelsea manager Graham Potter: "I was very happy with the performance today. We were dominant from start to finish and created a lot of chances. Cole Palmer was excellent, and he led the line really well. We're now unbeaten in six games, and we're looking forward to continuing our good form."

Everton manager Frank Lampard: "We were outplayed today. Chelsea were simply too good for us. We need to learn from this experience and come back stronger. We're still fighting for survival, and we need to believe that we can get out of this situation."
